Mercury retention after Panax ginseng treatment against mercuric chloride intoxication in hepato-haemato indices in albino rats

چکیده
Mercuric chloride was introduced per Os in albino rats (Rattus norvegicus) as the LD50 (9.26 mg/kg b.w.). The assessment of mercuric toxicity done both after acute (0.926 b.w.) and sub-acute (0.033 treatment, while Panax ginseng also (10 separately. treatment significantly increases mercury retention liver blood serum along with increase weight, alone caused significant decrease weight blood. Increase is due to reactivity between –SH protein oxidized form (Hg++), antioxidant activity ginsenosides. Moreover, followed by revealed modulation for raised towards normal level changes. results suggest a modulating role extract against concentration under stress chloride.

Background: Exposure to any xenobiotic can disturb the metabolic activities of particular organs. Hence present study is designed to find changes in hepatic biochemistry, histochemistry and histopathology besides serum enzyme levels after acute and sub-acute treatment with mercuric chloride, a heavy metallic compound, in albino rat (Rattus norvegicus). Materials & methods: Thirty albino rat...
متن کاملInfluence of s-allyl cysteine against mercuric chloride induced nephrotoxicity in albino rats
Mercury (II) is a highly toxic metal which induced oxidative stress in the living organism. In the present study we examined the effect of S-Allyl cysteine (SAC) against the mercuric chloride (Hgcl2) intoxicated in albino rat model. The animals were treated with sub-leathal dose of mercuric chloride (1.23 mg/kg body wt) for 7 days. After scheduled treatetment the animals were decapitated and wh...
